Money & Pricing
Materials
The cost of the products installed, usually priced per square, per bundle, or per piece.
On a real claim
Materials are the products installed, priced per square, per bundle, or per piece, as distinct from labor. On a claim they are priced on the carrier's material list, so the same product can price differently by region and by date. What goes wrong: a contractor quotes a premium product the price list does not carry and has to argue the difference, or the estimate names a cheaper material than the one installed. Check that the material the estimate prices is the one you plan to install.
