Punch list

- Production orders
The internal document that releases approved restoration work to the crew or subcontractor, listing materials, quantities, and scheduled dates. It should match the approved scope exactly, because a production order that adds or drops items creates a change the carrier never approved.
- Psychrometry
The study of moisture in air: temperature, relative humidity, dew point, and how they interact. Restoration crews use those readings to set drying goals and prove a structure is dry, and the same readings are the evidence a carrier reviews when paying for drying equipment.
- Reinspection
A second visit to document damage missed in the first inspection, often needed before a supplement is approved.
- Restoration project manager
The person who runs the job day to day: scheduling crews, ordering materials, tracking the scope, and reporting to the homeowner and adjuster. In a claim, that person owns the documentation trail, so moisture readings, photos, and change orders should all route through them.
- Roof decking
The structural surface the roof covering is attached to, usually plywood or oriented strand board. It sits above the rafters and below the underlayment and shingles. When decking is soaked or delaminated it is often replaced in sections, and that work is a separate line item from the shingle repair.
- Roof pitch
The steepness of a roof, expressed as a rise over run (e.g. 4/12 = 4 inches of rise per 12 inches of run). Pitch affects the installation method, safety, and steep/high charges.
