Money & Pricing

Unit price

The price Xactimate assigns to one unit of a line item, such as a square of shingles or one square foot of roof.

On a real claim

Unit price is the price assigned to one unit of a line item, like a square of shingles or a square foot of roof. On a claim the unit price comes from the carrier's price list, so it can differ by region and date. What goes wrong: a price override pushes the unit price above the list and the reviewer flags the line. Check that overrides are used only where the list genuinely does not fit the material.
