A roof with a slight pitch, close to flat, used on commercial buildings and some residential designs. Low slope roofs take different materials than steep roofs, such as membrane and modified bitumen systems. Because water drains slowly off a low slope roof, the design and the flashing are critical, and leaks are more likely when penetrations are not sealed properly. Estimators list the membrane, insulation, and flashing for that roof system.
