Labor cost

The portion of an estimate that pays for the work performed by the contractor's crew. Labor is priced separately from materials, and in restoration estimating it is calculated from the measured quantities and the crew needed to complete the scope. The estimator's labor charges are what the adjuster reviews during a labor rate dispute, so they are documented along with the line items.
