Estimating & Workflow
A rating that measures how well a roofing material withstands impact, such as from hail. Shingles are classified into levels that show how much damage the surface can take before the material fails. Insurance carriers and local codes may use the rating to decide how a replacement roof is priced, because a higher-rated product resists cracking. The rating is noted on the replacement product in the estimate.
