General contractor

The contractor responsible for the full scope of a construction or restoration project. The general contractor coordinates the trades, orders materials, schedules the work, and manages the overall contract with the property owner. In insurance restoration, the general contractor prepares or works with the estimate that goes to the adjuster and is responsible for completing the scope approved by the carrier, including any supplements.
