Estimator

The person responsible for calculating the cost of a repair or restoration job. In insurance restoration, the estimator measures the damage, writes the line items, chooses the product codes, and builds the estimate file that goes to the adjuster. The estimator has to balance accuracy with speed, because the estimate sets the scope of work, and a correct estimate prevents disputes later in the claims process.
