EPDM roofing

A type of synthetic rubber roofing membrane, usually black, used on flat or low-slope roofs. EPDM stands for ethylene propylene diene monomer. The membrane is installed in large sheets and sealed at the seams, making it flexible and weather resistant. When an EPDM roof is damaged, the repair may involve patching the membrane or replacing whole sections, and the estimator bills the membrane, adhesive, and seam work as separate line items.
