Drying goal

The target condition that guides a water-damage restoration job, usually expressed as a specific moisture level in the affected materials. The drying team monitors the structure with moisture meters and compares the readings against the drying goal to decide when a wall, floor, or ceiling is dry enough. When the goal is met, drying equipment such as air movers and dehumidifiers can be removed and the structure can be repaired or rebuilt.
