Measured across 289 real claim files and 7,525 line items, 2,756 line items, which is 36.6%, carry a code our catalog recognizes, and the rest keep their PDF price. The median estimate file moves 17% of its lines, and 39 files move none at all. That is the honest picture: most lines stay on the PDF price, and the ones that do not are flagged, not guessed.

Where do the code pages come from? A real claims claims data. We extracted 33,076 line items and 6,648 distinct product codes from real insurance claim documents in the August 2026 wave, and that claims data is what the code dictionary, the guides, and the checkers are grounded in.
Roofing gets the most attention, but the claims data covers the adjoining trades that ride along on a roofing claim: siding and framing codes are in it alongside the RFG codes, so a supplement with a fascia replacement or a decking repair has somewhere to look too. Those 6,648 codes are real ones from real claims, not a list someone typed.
The dictionary is public and free: 1,480-plus dedicated Xactimate code pages, each with description, category, and related links, plus a free code search, a validator, a reprice checker, and a profit calculator. There is also a glossary and a set of guides, all built on the same claims data.
We cite that claims data in our guides, and the guides link back to the code pages, so a roofing supplement can be walked end to end: read the scope, look up the code, convert, and check.
The numbers matter because they are not aspirational. The claims data is what the pages, the validator, and the reprice checker are grounded in, and the same claims data is cited in the guides. Our exports carry no price-list identity: no price-list name, no tax block, no minimums since 2026-09-02. When you import the .esx in Xactimate, the receiver applies its own list, and the software asks whether to reprice. A real import test in Xactimate confirmed the file opens clean, and the reprice prompt is the intended design: your chosen price list does the pricing.
